Many of our readers complain that they mistakenly installed some toolbar. Many a times, toolbars some bundles with software downloaded from the Internet or other freeware software setups. Its usually easy to get rid of most toolbars by simply uninstalling them from Control Panel > Programs and Features (for Windows 7 and Windows Vista)or Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (in Windows XP and older versions). But many toolbars are hard to remove or uninstall, they install themselves as browser extensions, even some toolbars maybe malicious.



In this article, we will review a very small and lightweight freeware tool called the “Toolbar Cleaner” which is a small all-in-one toolbar cleaner. Not only it supports many Internet browsers at one time, but also it lists all the toolbars detected in these browsers and you can remove them all at the same time in a single click.





The setup of the toolbar cleaner is really lightweight and downloads easily. Simply install the cleaner and launch the Toolbar Cleaner.



It detected all the toolbars installed in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browser and list them in a single window as seen above. You can pick the toolbars which seem fishy and which you want to remove. Once you check the toolbars which you intend to remove, click the button on the right bottom “Remove Selected Toolbar(s)/BHO(s)”



The tools will ask for confirmation before deleting, click OK to proceed.



If your browser is open at that time, it will show you a message to close the browser and retry.



Once the tool finished its operation, you get rid of the unwanted toolbars. This is one of the quickest ways of getting rid of the unwanted toolbars with minimum effort involved in hunting them in the add remove programs. Especially many toolbars don’t create an entry in the programs and features section on the control panel, those toolbars can be easily removed using the Toolbar Cleaner.
